Flying Solo II-UK offers “Manicomio” written and performed by Allyn Moriyon about the Italian playwright Luigi Pirandello, “Geli and Uncle Alf” written by Pia Vicioso-Vila about Hitler’s first niece and love, Geli Raubal and “Warmth of the Sun” written and performed by Erik Rodriguez, about the life of Brian Wilson, member of the 60s Beach Boys. Following ots Homestead performance this show will travel to the UK where I will tour three cities The project not only offers a series of self-written and acted solo performance works. Through a collaboration with social agencies in the US and UK WIW will offer free, three-day workshops for low-income “at risk” youth in which the experience of the solo performance process and the exploration of other lives will lead to the awareness of deeper selfhood. For Homestead youth WIW is partnering with the Homestead Public Library and Miami Bridge.

At The Theatre

Our History

The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
