"I have studied Pre-Columbian figurative motifs as well as mySpanish/Carribean Cultural Heritage, which has led me to focus on the lines
and planes of the Human Face incorporating them in a variety of Series’
exploring their meaning and messages in different contexts.
This has led to a natural, Biomorphic style in cursive forms and
shapes, and to embed these figures inside each other through the use of
colour, in this way, just as the Mask holds greater significance in the
Pre-Columbian and Hispanic Civilizations, one could rediscover in these
shapes, false perspectives and many views, facets of their own appreciation
of the face." -Jose Guzman

Our History

The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
