
About the Production:
Ballet&Beyond presents The Wizard of Oz a full length story ballet which will delight adults and children alike. Combining dancing and acting, in a beautiful traditional story told by the Ballet&Beyond professionally trained dancers.
The Wizard of Oz is a full length originally choreographed ballet and theatrical production by Karen Hirst Kennedy which tells the original story of Dorothy, a young girl from Kansas, taken by a tornado to the magical land of Oz. She follows the yellow brick road, which will lead her to Emerald City where she asks the Wizard of OZ to help her home. On her way she befriends a Scarecrow seeking a Brain, a Tin Man needing a Heart and a Cowardly Lion wanting Courage. You will enjoy watching their adventures into Emerald City and the Wicked Witches castle. At the end of her journey, Dorothy finds out that she had the ability to go home all along.

About the Company:
Ballet&Beyond is a Ballet Academy, located at 9048 SW 152nd street in Palmetto Bay FL, where each dancer is introduced from a very young age to the proper classical ballet technique in a loving environment. Our dancers are from the ages of 3 to pre- professional and adults. Our teaching style has gotten our dancers into programs such as the School of American Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Houston Ballet, John Cranko Ballet School in Germany, The Royal Ballet, among others. The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
