On Monday, October 23, the Seminole Theatre will open its doors to the public for a Gallery Night at the Seminole. From 6:30-8:30 pm, guests are welcome to browse the artwork on display, meet the featured artist, and enjoy wine and cheese.

This month's featured artist is Mimi Dickson who's award-winning merit has been acknowledged at a variety of different art shows, festivals, and Florida Atlantic University and Miami-Dade College. Mimi’s natural talent and the knowledge gained at the Massachusetts College of Art were heightened by taking part in many different workshops and by practicing a broad range of media. For this acclaimed artist, the paintings she makes seem to develop from her own thoughts, feelings, personal ideas, and experiences.

Our History

The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
