In the Heights tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood – a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind.  Join the Stallion Theatre Department as they bring Washington Heights to the beautiful Seminole Theatre. Get your tickets now as they will sell out quickly.

The Somerset Academy Charter High Visual and Performing Arts Academy offers our students performances, competitions, and other events to gain exposure to hands-on learning experiences. Guest artists are always invited to give master class workshops and students are given opportunities to shake hands with the best of the best. The Stallion Theatre Department is a one of kind program in South Florida. The program offers students from grades 6-12 to excel in their craft and grow as young artists in the industry. The program is proud to be home to two award winning theatre troupes and alumni who can be seen on MTV's Love & Hip Hop, and many Telemundo shows.

At The Theatre

Our History

The Theatre originally opened on November 26, 1921 as a cinema, primarily showing the then popular silent movies. The Seminole Theatre quickly became the place to go for entertainment and social gatherings in South Dade County and the upper Keys.
